About Us

Aventure is a trade distribution company established to supply Audio Visual products and services to Custom Installers and Systems Integrators. The core products are focused around Control4.

To compliment Control4 Aventure is working with several manufacturers to provide products that all installers require to offer complete solutions to their clients.

Already Aventure has agreements to distribute a range of wireless security and energy monitoring products that work seamlessly with Control4. This extends the usability of a control system so installers can offer a better integrated solution which has more appeal to the end user.

Aventure was set up by Brian Chapman and Tony Leedham, two industry experts (we don’t like the term veterans!).

Tony established the UK dealer network for AMX in the late nineties and then took over the AutoPatch distribution for Europe.

For the past few years Brian has been working as a consultant on some of the UK’s most prestigious Audio Visual projects, such as The London Stock Exchange, The FA, and Mercedes World.

Last year the two got together to work with Control4 to develop training and support for the launch of Control4 Home Automation systems in the UK and parts of Europe. This proved to be very successful, and as a result of pressure from installers to provide not only Control4 but other related products, Aventure was formed.

“We want our products to integrate with each other, and be easy to buy, install and maintain. Maximising the margin that an installer can make on a project is our intention” says Tony.

Brian adds “using our design and project management background in AV and IT systems will allow us to offer such services to Custom Installers. This makes Aventure unusual, with a different approach that will support the installers as technology changes.”

In June 2008 such was the success of Control4 in the UK that Control4 asked Tony and Brian to join them to open Control4 EMEA. So an agreement was reached and the Control4 element of Aventure business now belongs to Control4 USA.

Aventure is still under the ownership of Tony and Brian, but will be run and managed by new staff.
