4Sight Remote Home Monitoring/Control Service Honoured for

Control4, the leader in affordable home automation and entertainment solutions, has won the 2006 Electronic House Product of the Year Award for its 4Sight service, which gives customers the ability to monitor and control their homes via internet access from anywhere. 4Sight also enables dealers to offer an unprecedented amount of service to their customers from remote locations.

The 4Sight service allows homeowners to monitor and control their home from anywhere via a web browser. This access is completely encrypted and requires no additional configuration of the router or firewall in the home. 4Sight gives homeowners the ability to monitor their home or adjust key settings, such as turning on and off the lights and adjusting the temperature. In addition, customers can receive email notifications about events occurring in the home. For dealers, 4Sight provides a way to program, maintain and upgrade customers’ Control4 installations, with their permission, without having to schedule a service call. Dealers will be able to configure systems from anywhere, allowing for faster reaction times and operational cost savings.
